CARA SETTING WIRELESS WINDOWS 7

Windows 7 Wireless Set Up

1. Go to Start > Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center

2. Select Manage wireless networks then Add
3. Select Manually create a network profile
   enter only the following:
1. Network name: Northwestern
2. Security type: WPA2-Enterprise
3. Encryption type: AES

4. Click Next then select Change connection settings
   
5. Click the Security tab. Under Network Authentication Method select Protected EAP (PEAP)
6. Uncheck Remember my credentials…; Click Settings
   
7. From the Protected EAP Properties window:
   
   1. Check Validate Server Certificate
   2. Uncheck Connect to these Servers
   3. Under Trusted Root Certification Authorities verify that both VeriSign Trust Network check boxes are selected. No other boxes should be selected under Trusted Root Certification Authorities.
   4. Select Authentication Method: Secured Password (EAP-MSCHAP v2)
   5. Click Configure
8. Uncheck Automatically use my Windows Logon name and password (and domain if any)
9. Click OK
10. A notice similar to the following will appear in your system tray:
    
    1. Click Enter/select additional logon information
11. Input your credentials in the Windows Security Network Authentication Form
    
    1. Type your NetID.
    2. Type your NetID password.
    3. Click OK.
12. A window similar to the following will appear:
    
    1. You need to verify that the certificate is valid before you continue. Click the View Server Certificate button to show the details of the certificate. A window similar to the following will appear:
       
    2. If the Issued by: and Valid from match the above screen, click OK. Note: Issued to may contain syntax "netauth1" or "netauth2". A window similar to the following will appear:
       
    3. Click OK to save your changes.
13. If you are successful, a window similar to the following will appear:
